The Ver Spine & Orthopedic Clinic has almost three decades of combined experience treating various spine conditions. Their services include:

Conservative or Non-Operative Treatment

These treatments can be used for various spine disorders, and include pain management, therapy, exercise, and rehabilitation. The appropriate treatment will depend on the patient’s condition.

Spinal Injections

Spinal injection is a form of conservative treatment, which may remove the need for surgery. This procedure is done with imaging guidance, is able to provide immediate relief to back and neck pain.

Operative Treatment Options

Operative Treatment Options involve surgical and invasive procedures.

Spinal Decompression Surgery

Decompression involves removal of bone spurs or soft tissue such as ligaments or disc. The goal of this surgery is to relieve the pressure over the spinal cord or nerve roots that causes the pain and weakness usually felt by patients.

Spinal Fusion Surgery

This procedure provides stability and restores alignment to the spine. We use spinal implants such as pedicle screws, rods and cages to hold the spine and apply bone graft to allow for fusion.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

This is an alternative to traditional open procedures which offers the benefit of smaller incisions, reduced muscle and soft tissue damage, lower surgical blood loss, lower postoperative pain and faster recovery.

Disc Replacement

We offer surgical replacement using artificial discs for qualified patients.

Motion Preserving Spine Surgery

This procedure helps preserve motion to the spine after decompression, using special implants and devices.

Degenerative Spine Disorders and Disc Herniations

We can treat arthritic spine conditions, intervertebral disc herniations, and disc disorders through a variety of options. The appropriate non-operative and operative plans can be discussed with our surgeons.

Scoliosis and Spinal Deformity

Scoliosis is the sideways curvature of the spine. We do clinical evaluation and provide solutions such as bracing and surgical correction.

Osteoporotic Fractures and Spinal Trauma

Traumatic fractures of the spine, including elderly osteoporotic vertebral fractures, can be managed adequately with medications, bracing, or spinal fusion surgery. Our surgeons can treat osteoporotic compression fractures through cement augmentation or balloon kyphoplasty.

Spinal Infection and Pott’s Disease

We treat spinal infection and tuberculosis of the spine (Pott’s Disease) with antibiotic medications. Spinal stabilization may also be needed in these cases, depending on the severity.

Neoplasms and Spinal Tumor

These are abnormal masses found in the spine. These growths can be malignant or benign, and cause symptoms such as pain and weakness. Our surgeons can help patients overcome this trying condition.
